I planted my strawberries in the afternoon on Friday. It rained Friday night and most of the day yesterday. This morning was a beautiful, sunny morning, so I went out to see how the bare root plants did over the weekend. They did better than I had even expected! We tend to think of plants as a permanent, non-moving fixture, not capable of the speed of growth I have been witnessing. In barely a day and a half, the strawberries are looking strong, and nearly every one of them is already showing new growth! I am very encouraged by this.
