Square Thumbs Blog is the personal gardening blog of Dan Baker, and is a collection of information, research, and anecdotes regarding the Square Foot Gardening method and Minecraft. When someone is a successful gardener, they are said to have "green thumbs." There are so many similarities between Minecraft and real gardening, that having "square thumbs" seemed appropriate.

Square Foot Gardening by Mel Bartholomew is basically an engineer's approach to gardening. Having looked myself at hours of backbreaking work in a traditional garden and thinking "There has GOT to be a better way to do this," I was very happy to find this.

Minecraft is a voxel-based building and survival game by Mojang Software. With elements of real life scattered throughout the game, it is a great way to introduce people to some real concepts in the safety of a digital sandbox.

John Kohler can be a bit of a goofy nut sometimes, but he is knowledgeable about organic gardening, and is really enthusiastic about sharing that knowledge. His YT channel, GrowingYourGreens, contains so much good info, and I have learned a LOT from him.
